Poisoning
Poisoning is the third most frequent cause of non-fatal injury hospitalizations for infants under 1 year and the second most frequent for children 1-4 years of age. Medication is by far the most common thing that children poison themselves with. Make sure you store your medication where children cannot reach it in child proof containers. Make sure that visitors to your house put their purses (or at least their medications - both prescription and over the counter) where children cannot reach them.
